Nora Al Dabal, executive director of Arts and Creative Industries gave an interview with Arab News, at the Royal Commission for AlUla. She said that the Arab world is prepared to accept women into the commercial sector.
On May 17 at the Arab Women Forum in Dubai, Dabal gave an interview to the Arab News. She praised the many efforts for women that were taking place in Saudi Arabia as part of Vision 2030.
There is a lot going on in Saudi Arabia, and there are many opportunities for both men and women. Dabal told Arab News, “I think if we just remove those obstacles or misconceptions and actually see the human that is competent or not fit for that role, [that is] what we need to accomplish.”
Dabal also stressed the need for education and training for women aspiring to careers in business.
“I think it’s very important to build your skills in general. In whatever specialization you’re in and I think that takes time and effort,” added Dabal.
When asked about RCU’s ambitions for the future, Dabal noted that the Desert Accelerator was the first step toward realizing Saudi Arabia’s terrain through the arts.
