Pakistan Ambassador to the UAE, Faisal Niaz Tirmizi, has urged UAE investors and business leaders to look into investment possibilities in Pakistan.
As part of his initial discussions with local businesspeople and investors, the Ambassador visited the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ADCCI) and the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI).
Tirmizi met with Mohamed Helal Al Mheiri, director-general of the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and praised the ADCCI’s initiatives for economic development in the UAE and business facilitation in Abu Dhabi. According to Khaleej Times, he stressed the importance of ADCCI’s partnership with Pakistan’s Chambers of Commerce and regular B2B visits.
The Ambassador also informed Mohamed Helal Al Mheiri about Pakistan’s investment regime and business-friendly policies. He asked the director general and members of the Abu Dhabi Chamber to visit Pakistan to investigate investment prospects.
Both parties decided to launch one project each in Pakistan and the UAE to boost B2B ties between the two nations.
Earlier, the Ambassador met with SCCI chairman Abdullah Sultan Al Owais to explore measures to improve UAE-Pakistan trade and investment relations.
Tirmizi emphasized Pakistan’s friendly economic policies, investment prospects, and ease of doing business and asked the chamber’s chairman and members to visit Pakistan and explore the country’s enormous economic opportunities, particularly in the hospitality and tourist industries. He also requested the section to participate in the International Trade Show in Pakistan, which is set to take place in February 2023.
The Ambassador also praised Sharjah’s business and sustainable development leadership, congratulating the chamber for its efforts to serve the business community and strengthen engagement with the Pakistani business sector.
The Ambassador and Al Owais also discussed ways to expand critical economic areas further and open up new frontiers for collaborations between the Sharjah and Pakistan business groups.
Al Owais greeted the visiting group and wished the incoming Pakistani ambassador luck in his duties and efforts to deepen bilateral cooperation. He emphasized that the UAE-Pakistani bilateral ties are becoming stronger and deeper due to the two countries leaders’ desire to strengthen relations and collaboration on all levels.
He noted that such discussions would undoubtedly motivate both parties to formulate action plans and explore opportunities for improving commercial links between Sharjah and Pakistan.
