In a significant move for the halal compliance sector, the Agency for Halal Quality Certification (AHQC) of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Halal Control GmbH (HC) of Germany have joined forces, forming a strategic alliance as announced today. Their partnership, confirmed by a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed on July 10, 2023, is set to boost collaboration and fuel mutual growth in the global halal ecosystem.
Born from a commitment to advance the halal industry, this strategic alliance between AHQC and HC is designed to encourage the practice of Good Governance. This will facilitate the cultivation of best practices and the delivery of superior quality services, while also empowering the broader halal compliance sector. Both organizations express their mutual dedication towards achieving Halal Integrity Excellence, indicating an even more robust Global Halal Ecosystem in the future.
The AHQC has been a keystone in the Islamic Community of Bosnia and Herzegovina since 2006, setting industry standards in halal product and service certification. By promoting halal through extensive education and counseling initiatives, AHQC has cemented its practices in line with the national Halal standard, BAS 1049. This unwavering dedication has enabled AHQC to make a significant impact, not only within the confines of Bosnia and Herzegovina but extending across South-East Europe, influencing the halal industry profoundly.
On the other side of this partnership, Germany’s HC operates as an autonomous Halal certification body, having conducted third-party conformity assessments throughout Europe since 2001. Led by the core principles of ethics, integrity, and quality, HC has embodied its ‘Confidence through Integrity’ strategy to actively shape the global halal assurance system.
To further demonstrate their commitment, AHQC and HC are preparing to jointly host an array of scientific events, including congresses, symposiums, and seminars. This collaborative effort is geared towards the advancement of a Global Halal Strategy, underpinned by a shared emphasis on quality, compliance, research, development, and leadership excellence.
This alliance signifies more than just a partnership; it represents the shared vision of fostering a culture of excellence and resilience within the global halal community. Both AHQC and HC are passionate about empowering this community with the necessary capabilities to add substantial societal value and navigate the complex landscape of present and future global challenges. Both organizations eagerly anticipate the journey ahead and are committed to enhancing their collaboration and continuously exploring further cooperative opportunities in the future.
