Al Baraka Islamic Bank Receives Awards for Its Credit Card Design

Al Baraka Islamic Bank has been awarded Best Credit Card Design from MasterCard as well as Best Innovative Card Design by the Global Economics Award.

The credit card was created by Al Baraka’s talented Card Center team, as part of an internal engagement initiative that aimed at teambuilding, creating more opportunities for experimentation and creativity. Held at a resin art studio, the activity enabled the Card Center team to tap into their creative skills and collaborate towards producing the award-winning artwork.

Commenting on this occasion, Ms. Fatema AlAlawi, Head of Retail Banking at Al Baraka Islamic Bank said: “We are exceptionally proud to be receiving an award for our winning credit card, for the first time the design process is carried out by our creative team from the Card Centre at Al Baraka. This comes as part of our initiative to foster a creative workplace culture and instill a sense of ownership, loyalty, and pride amongst our employees following the successful initiative.”

“On behalf of the Bank, we would like to extend our gratitude to the awarding parties for the recognition of the hard work and attention to detail that went into developing the newly designed cards. She added, “We would also like to laud the efforts of our staff members and talented support team in creating the new card designs”.

Following the success of Al Baraka’s team, an art exhibition was held to showcase artworks made by the bank’s talented employees. Members of the Bank were invited to view the award-winning design alongside other employees’ artworks.
