The Global Halal Summit 2023 kicked off today in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The event, which is being held at the Pullman Kuala Lumpur City Centre, is expected to attract over 73 Halal certification bodies delegates from over 47 countries.
The summit is being organized by the Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE) and the Halal Industry Development Corporation (HDC). It is the premier event for the global Halal industry and provides a platform for industry leaders, policymakers, and academics to discuss the latest trends and developments in the Halal market.

In his opening remarks, MATRADE CEO Mohd Mustafa Abdul Aziz said that the Global Halal Summit is an important platform for Malaysia to showcase its leadership in the Halal industry.

The Global Halal Summit is being held at a time when the Halal industry is experiencing rapid growth. The global Halal market is expected to reach US$1.9 trillion by 2024. Malaysia is well-positioned to capitalize on this growth, as it is already a major player in the Halal industry.
