Milwaukee’s diverse culinary scene is getting a halal makeover this summer, as the city’s first-ever Halal Restaurant Week returns for a second year.
The event, which runs from July 7 to 16, will feature a wide variety of halal dishes from over 20 of Milwaukee’s best restaurants. Participating restaurants range from new additions like Canela Cafe and Hue to returning favorites like Cuppa Tosa and Tomken’s.
The selections range from American staples like burgers and pizza to Latin American, Asian, and Italian dishes. There will also be a number of special events taking place during Halal Restaurant Week, including a respite dining night for families and caregivers, and a cooking demonstration by a James Beard finalist.
