ExCeL London is preparing to welcome over 20,000 Muslims and over 300 businesses from around the world, representing the largely untapped Ramadan economy, which is worth over £200 million and growing every year.
Many mainstream brands have only recently realized the potential of the Ramadan economy, including lifestyle brands such as Westfield, John Lewis & Partners, Tesco, and Sainsbury’s, with many more household brands taking advantage of the booming market.
The London Muslim Shopping Festival, now in its 8th year, is the most sought-after platform for the highly lucrative global Muslim consumer market. The show is described by the industry as the equivalent of the Christmas Ideal Home Exhibition for the UK’s Muslim communities due to the parallels in numbers, attendance, and spending.
Westfield Shopping Centre has also tapped into the huge potential of this market, working with the same organizers to host the annual Eid Festival London at its Shepherd’s Bush, W12 site – one of the largest commercial shopping centers in Europe. Eid Festival London attracts over 200,000 visitors and, according to Westfield, dwarfs Boxing Day sales.
The London Muslim Shopping Festival will take place on Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th February 2023 at the internationally renowned venue ExCeL London and will feature hundreds of halal lifestyle businesses, a celebrity-hosted Cookery Theatre, a sponsored Kids Zone, Europe’s largest modest fashion catwalk – Modest Fashion Live and the delicious Halal Dining Show and much more.
The London Muslim Shopping Festival is proud to announce the Metropolitan Police as its Official Community Partner. The MET will be promoting its recruitment drive and working to further diversify its workforce.
The organizers, Algebra Festivals, host the annual London Halal Food Festival at London Stadium and Eid Festival London at Westfield, W12 – Europe’s largest platforms for mainstream brands to engage with the highly engaged and advantageous Muslim consumer market.
