“Halal certification and organic standards align closely, as both emphasize ethical and sustainable practices. Through MIHAS, we were able to connect with the Middle East market and showcase Malaysia’s leadership in these sectors,” shared Datuk Mohd Mustafa Abdul Aziz, CEO of MATRADE.

India, a key player in the organic market, showcased its strengths through the Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA). With its diverse range of organic grains, spices, and processed foods, India’s pavilion became a focal point for international buyers.
“By facilitating buyer-seller meetings, we created a platform for meaningful business connections, advancing India’s position as a global organic leader,” said Vinita Sudhanshu, General Manager at APEDA.

Uganda’s delegation focused on promoting its organic agricultural sector, which includes coffee, fresh produce, and other exports. The country’s representation emphasized the potential for African producers in the growing organic market.
“This platform has been instrumental in introducing Uganda’s organic products to new markets. We see immense growth potential,” remarked Hon. Lt. Col (Rtd) Bright Rwamirama, Uganda’s Minister of State for Animal Industry.
