Model Halima Aden is creating her own line of stylish headscarves after already making waves for Muslim women in the fashion industry. She had recently planned to leave the fashion industry. However, she returned to the industry after a few short months. She is actively pursuing her career in the growing modest fashion industry.
Having walked the runways for the likes of Maxmara and Alberta Ferretti, model Halima Aden has already earned serious status within the fashion industry.
And that’s only amplified due to her breaking the ceiling for Muslim women within the global fashion industry (despite it being shocking that it’s taken such time) by wearing her hijab while walking the runways and posing on the red carpets.
In fact, previously, she was the first woman to wear a hijab in the Miss Minnesota USA pageant, where she was a semi-finalist.
And now Halima is taking another bold step by launching her own line of headscarves.
The talent, who is signed to IMG Models, has teamed up with Modanisa for the line. We got our first glimpse at the line during Istanbul Modest Fashion Week which will take place between April 20-21st in 2019.
The Turkish E-commerce fashion brand will roll out 27 headscarves online at the same time, it is expected.
The move by the icon comes after a series of other high-profile brands have released modest collections and vibrant hijabs.
Marc Jacobs’s modest line which included a hijab recently launched in the Middle East while previously the likes of Dolce & Gabbana and Tommy Hilfiger have embraced the sty.
