Qatari Awqaf Ministry Completes 1st Summer Course at Al Noor Learning Center

The Al Noor Learning Center’s summer course was designed to offer students a meaningful way to utilize their vacation time productively. This first-of-its-kind program aimed to instill academic and moral growth in its participants. With around 30 students aged between 8 and 15, the course was tailored to cater to different levels of religious and educational backgrounds, ensuring that every student could benefit from the experience.

The program’s core objective was to enhance students’ memorization of the Qur’an. Each participant was challenged to memorize half a juz’ (part) of the Qur’an, with a daily goal of two pages. This rigorous memorization schedule was coupled with lessons designed to deepen their understanding of Qur’anic teachings and integrate these lessons into their daily lives.

The culmination of the summer course was marked by a special ceremony honoring the top five students who excelled in their Qur’anic memorization and understanding. 1. Religious Instruction: On Sundays and Tuesdays, students focused on memorizing and internalizing Qur’anic verses. Lessons were designed to not only help students memorize verses but also to understand their meanings and implications in everyday life. This approach ensured that the students could apply what they learned in practical and meaningful ways.

These sessions were organized in collaboration with notable partners such as the Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya), the Museum of Islamic Art, and Al Andalus schools. The activities included educational excursions and interactive experiences designed to reinforce the values and principles learned during the religious instruction days.

Visits to institutions like the Museum of Islamic Art allowed students to connect with their cultural and religious heritage, while interactions with the Internal Security Force provided insights into the importance of civic responsibility and community service.
