From May 30 to June 1, 2023, over 50 distinguished speakers from 16 countries will grace the stage, offering insights across 18 thought-provoking sessions over three action-filled days.
Our speaker lineup includes a diverse mix of industry leaders, innovators, and changemakers, representing notable entities such as the Málaga Tourism Board, Department of Tourism Philippines, Taiwan Tourism Bureau, NYC & Company, Cape Town Tourism, and the Singapore Tourism Board. Each speaker is primed to delve into the pivotal challenges and burgeoning opportunities in the Muslim travel market.
Adding more weight to our esteemed speaker list, we’ll have high-ranking government officials delivering keynote speeches. These include KH Ma’ruf Amin, Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia; Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno, Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy of the Republic of Indonesia; Ozodbek Nazarbekov, Minister of Tourism and Cultural Heritage of the Republic of Uzbekistan; Khairul Firdaus Akbar Khan, Deputy Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture of Malaysia; and Myra Paz Valderrosa-Abubakar, Undersecretary, Department of Tourism Philippines.
The summit promises to be an engaging and immersive experience, with discussions covering a wide spectrum of critical topics. Among the summit’s notable highlights will be the unveiling of the eagerly awaited Mastercard-CrescentRating Global Muslim Travel Index (GMTI) 2023 report. An invaluable resource for stakeholders developing strategies based on destination rankings, the report will reveal key insights into the recovery of Muslim visitor arrivals in 2022 and future growth predictions. Moreover, this year’s report will spotlight the top Muslim Women Friendly destinations.
Also taking center stage at the event will be the Halal in Travel (HIT) Awards 2023. These prestigious accolades recognize over 30 exemplary contributions across various categories, such as Muslim-friendly Hotel Chain of The Year, Muslim-friendly Restaurant Chain of The Year, Muslim-friendly Airline of The Year, and Halal Travel Marketing Campaign of The Year.
